When a Buyer Purchases
You receive a notification email when someone buys your item. The order appears in My Sales with a "Buyer Paid" status.
Accepting an Order
Open the order from My Sales. Review the buyer information and payment amount, then decide:
- Approve -- Confirms the order and captures the buyer's payment
- Cancel Order -- Cancels the order and automatically refunds the buyer
Shipping the Item
Once you accept an order:
- Package the item securely
- If a prepaid label is available, click Print Ship Label; otherwise enter the tracking number and click Save Tracking (the carrier is detected automatically)
- Click Shipped -- the order status changes to "Out for Delivery"
Buying a Label Yourself
Some orders arrive without a prepaid label. That happens when we could not get a carrier quote when the buyer checked out -- usually because we did not have your ship-from address yet -- so the buyer was charged a flat shipping estimate instead of a real rate.
You are not stuck with shipping it on your own. Open the order and click Buy a shipping label:
- We fetch live rates from the carrier for your address and the buyer's
- Each service shows its price against what the buyer already paid, so you
can see whether it costs you anything
- Pick the one you want and click Buy this label
The label is bought immediately and Print Ship Label replaces the button.
If we still do not have the address you ship from, the order asks for it first and opens your address book right there -- add one and the rates appear. You can always ignore the whole thing and ship it yourself with the tracking field below.
Tracking & Delivery
The buyer receives a shipping notification with your tracking information. The order status automatically updates to "Item Delivered" when the carrier confirms delivery.
Completion & Payout
The buyer confirms receipt of the item, or the transaction auto-completes after a delay. Once completed:
- Status changes to "Completed"
- Payout is initiated to your Stripe account
